About the program
Counseling is useful for everyday concerns as well as serious issues. The counseling staff at Catholic Charities strives to provide supportive relationships to individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues.
The goal is to facilitate more objective thinking and choices. Based on the Bowen Theory, the counseling program at Catholic Charities focuses on families and individuals with issues concerning relationships, child behavior problems, marital conflict, eating disorders, depression, stress, sexual abuse, separation and divorce issues, criminal behavior, addictions, physical handicaps, health problems or spiritual crisis.
Staffed by licensed therapists, the Counseling Program serves not only clients, but also colleagues and other interested individuals through conferences and other post-graduate training opportunities.
- The staff has extensive training through the Georgetown Family Center in Washington, D.C. as well as through continuing education.
