Reason for the Season

Nov. 8-mid January
The Museum of Religious Arts in Logan is hosting its annual Reason for the Season. More than 400 Nativities from around the world will be on display, along with St. Nick and Santa figurines and more than 60 adorned Christmas trees decorated by local families and organizations. The museum is located at 2697 Niagara Trail in Logan. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tues-Fri, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. 712-644-3888.

 
Catholic singer coming to St. John in Norwalk
Nov. 29
The St. John the Apostle Altar and Rosary Society in Norwalk will host Catholic singer and songwriter Lynn Cooper. Contact the parish for details at 515-981-4855.
 
New Years candlelight dinner at St. Anthony
December 31
St. Anthony Parish in Des Moines will host a candlelight dinner with Pastor Msgr. Frank Chiodo and Parochial Vicar Father Tom Dooley. Mass is at 5 p.m., cocktails begin at 5:45 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. There will be entertainment at the event. Reservations are required.
