About the event

The fifth annual “Art of Healing” awareness event and fundraiser for the Phoenix House Domestic Violence Shelter and Sexual Abuse Program in Council Bluffs will be held on Thursday, March 29 at Saint Peter's Social Hall at 1 Bluff Street, Council Bluffs.

Each year the event celebrates the connection between the arts and healing and features an art theme. This year is the art of comedy featuring, The Amazing Arthur, a Second City trained comedian that combines magic, mentalism, juggling and audience participation.

Each April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Phoenix House Domestic Violence Shelter & Sexual Abuse Program seeks to bring awareness to the community about the issue of domestic and sexual violence by celebrating the connection between the arts and healing.

All proceeds from the event and silent art auction will support the work of the Phoenix House which has been helping victims of sexual assault and domestic violence for more than 28 years in Council Bluffs and continues to help women and families find refuge, courage and hope.
