Bishop’s Council

Focus: To enable Evangelization and other diocesan initiatives to progress through the support of financial resources.

Progress:

• Bishop Pates developed a small leadership group, chaired by Steve Lacy, for the purpose of sharing diocesan priorities and goals and to encourage the future of our diocesan community.   The Council has been meeting quarterly since March of 2010.
  .

• Each meeting provides an opportunity for Bishop to share an update on Diocesan activities.  The group has also taken an active role in the following centennial initiatives:

   

• Exploring a possible Catholic Community Foundation

• Renovation of St. Ambrose Rectory for Bishop and Priest Housing

• Development of a new parking lot for Diocesan staff and St. Ambrose parishioners
