Chancellor & Archives

The chancellor in the Diocese of Des Moines is Sr. Jude Fitzpatrick, CHM.
 

She assists the bishop and vicar general in the administration of the diocesan staff to promote professional and faithful service to God’s people.

She assists parishes in the development of their pastoral councils. 

She also serves as coordinator of the diocesan safe environment program.

Sr. Jude is responsible for the administration department of the diocese including building maintenance, development and human resources.  Under canon law the chancellor is also responsible for the record-keeping and archives of the diocese.
