Fourteen organizations located within the 23 counties of the Diocese of Des Moines received grants totaling $12,000 from Catholic Relief Services (CRS)' Rice Bowl campaign to support their work to help the needy.

Des Moines, IA - Catholic Charities received $10,000 in grants from Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino through its 2012 Community Betterment Program. The grants will benefit Catholic Charities' Poverty Reduction Programs, including St. Mary Family Center.
