The diocese is posting information parishes have shared with us about their Lenten fish fry dinners. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list. Additional parishes may have fish fry dinners.

Atlantic, SS Peter and Paul
SS Peter & Paul's Knights of Columbus will be hosting baked fish dinners on Fridays during Lent, Feb. 15 - March 22 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center gym. Menu includes: baked fish, vegetable, baby red potatoes, dinner roll, and drink. Dessert available from the Youth Group. Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for children 10 & under. Proceeds go towards the Knights of Columbus scholarship fund.
Des Moines, Basilica of St. John
Fish fry dinners from 4:30-7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-March 22). Cost is $8 for adults; $3 for children ages 4-10 and no cost for children ages 3 and under. Menu includes fried Catfish or Seasoned baked Pollock, two side dishes, dessert and drink (all you can eat). Stations of the Cross will follow at 7 p.m.
Des Moines, Christ the King
Members of the Knights of Columbus of Christ the King will host Lenten Fish dinner in the parish hall Fridays during Lent. The menu includes baked and fried fish, baked potatoes, vegetable, salad or cole slaw, rolls dessert and beverages. Pizza for the kids. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-12. Proceeds benefit Christ the King parish programs. Mass is at 5:30 p.m. followed by Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent. Christ the King is at SW 9th and Park Avenue.
Des Moines, Holy Trinity
Members of the Knights of Columbus will host Fish Dinners on the following Fridays: February 15, March 1, and March 15 from 5-7 p.m. in the School Social Room. Menu includes: baked Cod, baked Tilapia, cheesy potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, roll, dessert, and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 6, $30.00 for family
Des Moines, St. Mary of Nazareth
The knights of Columbus will be holding a Fish Fry Dinner every Friday during Lent except for Feb. 22. The Menu includes baked or fried Pollack fish, baked ptoato, french fries, macaroni and cheese, vegetables, fruit salad, cole slaw, rolls, desert and assorted beverages. Mass is at 5:30 with stations following. Dinner is serveds from 4:30 through 7:00. Cost is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $15 for couples, $5 for kids and under 3 free.
Indianola, St. Thomas Aquinas
The Indianola Knights of Columbus will be hosting an all-you-can-eat fish fry every Friday during Lent. Menu consists of Alaskan Pollock, baked & deep fried, baked potato, french fries, cole slaw, dinner roll, coffee and lemonade. Grilled cheese sandwiches also available.
$8/adults, $3/children. Anyone under 5 is free. Carry outs are $8. The dinners will be at the St Thomas Aquinas Parish Hall, 210 Hwy R 63. Call 515-961-7499 if you have questions.
Missouri Valley, St. Patrick (6th and Huron St.)
Fish fry dinners from 5-7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-March 22). Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children ages 4-10. Menu includes deep fat fried Pollock fish, macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, green beans, bread & butter, dessert & drink.
Neola, St. Patrick
Fish fry dinners (all you can eat) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-March 22) in the parish hall. Cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-10 and no cost for children ages 4 and under.
Norwalk, St. John the Apostle
Knights of Columbus of St. John the Apostle Church, 720 Orchard Hills Dr. in Norwalk, will host their annual fish fry dinners on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-March 22) from 5:30-7 p.m. Menu includes fried / baked fish or pizza slices, coleslaw, fries, macaroni and cheese, relish, bread, and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $3 for kids 12 and under. The Boy Scout Troops of Norwalk, as a fundraiser, will have desserts available each week at their tables.
Osceola, St. Bernard
Fish fry dinners from 5:30–7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-March 22). Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for youth (4-12) and no cost for children ages 3 and under; cost for a family is $25. Menu includes: deep fried fish, baked fish, baked potato, salads, dessert and drink.
Perry, St. Patrick
Knights of Columbus will host a fish fry on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-March 22) from 5:30-7 p.m. at St. Patrick School, 5th and Lucinda. Menu includes baked and fried fish, baked potato, coleslaw, beverage and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults, $4.50 for children age10 and under, maximum $25 for a family with children.
Red Oak, St. Mary
Lenten Fish Fry’s will be held in the St. Mary's Church Hall March 1, 8, 15 & 22 Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sign up sheets for helpers for the Fish Fry and for the St. Mary’s Youth Brownie table are in the Gathering Space! A big Thank You to Tom Rodis with Bunge, Council Bluffs for donating the oil for the fish fry’s once again! THANK YOU! A Silent Auction will also be held during the March 1st Fish Fry. Urbandale, St. Pius X
Fish fry dinners sponsored by the St. Pius X Holy Name Society will be served in the Parish Center from 5-7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent (Feb. 15-Mar. 29). Menu features baked and fried Cod, French fries, mac and cheese, cole slaw and pizza. Beverage is included. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children (5-12), and $30 for families.
West Des Moines, Sacred Heart
Fish fry dinners will be held each Friday during Lent (except Good Friday) at Sacred Heart Parish from 5:30-7 p.m. All you can eat fried and baked fish, cheese pizza, various sides and a beverage is just $8/adults, $5/kids ages 3 to 10 (under 3 free) $35/family maximum. Proceeds benefit youth ministry programs.
