What does the validation of a marriage mean?
For various reasons, Catholics find themselves in civil marriages or married in another faith without proper dispensation. In time, some seek to have their marriages recognized by the Catholic Church. This program prepares a couple to be validly married within the Catholic Church.

When should you attend?
You are invited and encouraged to attend at your earliest convenience if you are free to marry in the Catholic Church.

 What about ecumenical couples?
A high percentage of couples who attend the marriage preparation programs are ecumenical. While the presentations rely on the teaching of the Catholic Church on marriage, our intention is also to support and respect persons of other faith expressions. We encourage the Catholic members to spend some time with their spouse's minister or rabbi to learn about the rich unique aspects of his or her faith and understanding of marriage.
