Fr. Pins is Vocations Director for the Diocese of Des Moines. He works with parishes to cultivate a culture of vocation.
He was ordained in 2006 after studying at Kenrick Seminary. Prior to becoming a priest he earned his CPA and worked in the accounting/health care field. He has been associate pastor at St. Francis of Assisi and pastor for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Malachy School, and St. Edward Parish.

Ordained in 1994, Fr. Dan Kirby was first a seminarian at Conception College in Conception, Missouri. Following his graduation, he attended Kenrick School of Theology in St. Louis.
As the Director of Seminairans for the Diocese of Des Moines he works with current seminarians and he acts as liasion with the seminaries and our diocese. In addition, he is pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Winterset, Iowa.

Jason Kurth works both within the Vocations and Bishop’s Office as Vice-Chancellor. He is a former seminarian for the diocese (2002-2005), receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Kenrick School of Theology in St. Louis. He has taught Theology for Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines. Jason is married and lives in West Des Moines.

Stephanie Pawletzki joined the Office of Vocations in September 2012. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Public Administration and Personnel Management and earned a Paralegal Certificate from DMACC. Stephanie lives in Des Moines with her husband Mark.
