YEAR OF FAITH

CONCEPT OF THE LOGO

The logo is composed of a square, bordered field on which a boat, symbolizing the Church, is represented as sailing on a graphically minimal representation of waves. The main mast of the boat is a cross from which sails are displayed in the form of dynamic signs which compose the trigram of Christ (IHS). The background to the sails is a sun which, associated with the trigram, refers also to the Eucharist.

"Walking by Faith:  Vatican Council II" a booklet for use in small group settings which reflects upon the opening speech of Blessed John XXIII as well as the four Constitutions to come from Vatican Council II is available in hardcopy format by contacting your local parish.  It is also available as a downloadable file by clicking the logo above.  This booklet is modeled on the booklets used in On a Journey Together and will provide moments of prayer, common readings and questions for reflection and sharing.

"Walking By Faith:  Vatican Council II" will be a great resource for years to come and its use is endless.  Why not consider beginning a "e-group" and discuss the book electronically with family and friends!
