2024 Central Region Serra Convention

Hosted by the Saint Serra Club of Des Moines in the Diocese of Des Moines, we invite and welcome all Catholics who have an interest in fostering and supporting religious vocations to join Serrans from the Central Region (Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Arkansas) to attend the Central Region Serra Convention.

REGISTRATION FEE: Entire weekend - $200 per person. Includes all meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner), beverages and snacks at program breaks. Also includes Friday night tour of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, vendor displays, door prizes and Saturday night entertainment, the Saints & Sinners.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

Friday tour of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, (7075 Ashworth Road, WDM) at 3:45pm
Friday and Saturday Mass both beginning at 4:30pm at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Bishop William Joensen and Cardinal Thomas Collins
Friday Keynote Speaker: Bishop William Joensen, Bishop of the Diocese of Des Moines and Southwest Iowa
Saturday Keynote Speaker: Cardinal Thomas Christopher Collins, Metropolitan Archbishop emeritus of Toronto (Canada)
Nine outstanding local speakers who are passionate about vocations will share their stories during Saturday's sessions
Catholic Vendor exhibits (Saturday, 11:45am-2:30pm) including beautiful home goods, Catholic jewelry, books, monastery jams, jellies, cookies, candy, coffee, Saint greeting cards, magnificat covers, medals, prayer cards, baby gifts and more!
