CLADD

(Catechetical Leaders Association of the Diocese of Des Moines)

CLADD is a professional Organization of catechetical leaders proudly serving in parishes throughout the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines.  We endeavor to foster spiritual and professional growth among our members and provide a corporate voice for leaders in religious education, youth ministry, adult faith formation and RCIA.

We are diocesan. We are guided by the policies and procedures established by the Bishop of Des Moines and are resourced by the staff of the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis.

We are an association because we are an organized body of professionals who share the same vision, goals and purpose.

Our members work at the parish level assisting pastors in every region throughout our diocese.

We serve the people of the diocese in the catechetical ministry of the Church. We echo the Gospel "as the Christian community has received it, understands it, celebrates it, lives it and communicates it in many ways" (General Directory for Catechesis, #105)
