Finding a family shelter for a homeless family is not easy. Just ask any of the 55 families that are turned away on average each month from St. Joseph Emergency Family Shelter due to lack of space. Or, ask Patrick, a 35-year-old single parent and his two teenage children. “We were actually going to be out on the curb,” Patrick said. “[Finding St. Joseph] was a prayer answered by God.”
