Deacon John Pfenning Reception

Thank You, Deacon John Pfenning! Bishop William Joensen has given Deacon John Pfenning a new assignment serving rural parishes in our diocese that currently do not have a deacon. Through this new ministry, Deacon John will help expand the presence of the diaconate throughout the Diocese of Des Moines and introduce more parish communities to the important role of a deacon. Deacon John will preach at St. Patrick during the weekend Masses on September 19–20. Please join us as we thank Deacon John and celebrate his eight years of service to St. Patrick Parish with a farewell reception on Sunday, September 20 at Noon. We are grateful for Deacon John’s faithful ministry to St. Patrick and ask you to join us in praying for him as he begins this new chapter of service to the Church.
