Prayer & Fasting in the Face of Sexual Abuse
On Aug. 29, Bishop Richard Pates called on all parishes and schools in the Diocese of Des Moines to pray and fast on each Friday during the month of September to encourage penitence for the sin of sexual abuse that has affected our Church as well as the cover-up of this sin by Church leadership. Here are resources provided by Bishop Pates for penitential services and suggestions for holy hour or other prayer.
