Diocesan Eucharistic Procession
August 15, 2026 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Location: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 212 2nd St, Earling, IA 51530
The annual diocesan Eucharistic procession at St. Joseph’s Church in Earling on Saturday, August 15 will begin with Rosary 8:30 am and Mass 9 a.m. The procession will go to St. Joseph’s cemetery for Benediction then back to church for the conclusion of Mass. A lunch will be served at the parish hall following Mass. Golf carts will be available for the procession for those who are not able to walk to the cemetery.
Thanks to a project from teenager Sam Lange from the Archdiocese of Dubuque, there will be a Eucharistic procession in all four Iowa dioceses this year. Each diocese will have a wooden puzzle piece in their geographical shape that will be blessed at the processions, and the pieces will be arranged together at the Christ Our Life conference in September. To learn more about this project, read about Lange's story in The Catholic Mirror. The full schedule of the Eucharistic processions is below.
