Sacred Heart Catholic in West Des Moines is thrilled to be hosting the Encounter School of Healing on September 19-20, 2025. This event will be lead by Aaron Richards, executive director of Damascus and Catholic Youth Summer Camp, and Fr. Isaac Mary Spinharney, CFR - a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal living at St. Michael Friary in Paterson.

The Encounter School of Healing teaches, activates and deploys Catholics to participate in the healing ministry of Jesus. Jesus promised, "These signs will accompany those who believe...They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover." (Mark 16:17) Jesus has called us to do what he did, and that includes healing the sick. Jesus wants to use you as an instrument of his divine healing. Are you going to give him the chance?

This 2-day event will go from Friday evening thru Saturday night, ending with a healing service open to the public where participants serve as members of the healing ministry teams.
