Parish Communications Workshop
Diocese of Des Moines Pastoral Center, 601 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50309
“Communication is the linchpin skill. If we can’t communicate, there can be no communion and no community. There can be no vision and no leadership. And good communication is about more than just using the right technology.” - Matt Warner, Founder of Flocknote and author of "Why They Follow"
Good communication is critical for a thriving, active Catholic parish. All parish staff and volunteers are invited to join a half-day workshop focused on the role of communications in your parish, hosted by the Office of Communications and the Evangelization & Mission team.
Topics that will be covered include: transition of The Catholic Mirror from newspaper to magazine, introduction of the new digital Catholic Mirror newsletter, discussion on spotting fake AI content and how to use AI for your parish.
Agenda:

- 10:15 AM - Workshop begins
- 12:00 PM - Lunch
- 1:00 PM - Closing prayer & depart
