Life Chain events across Southwest Iowa

On Sunday, October 4, pro-lifers will gather across Southwest Iowa for Life Chain, giving a public witness to the pro-life movement. Here are multiple opportunities to join in prayer and support on that Sunday.

Des Moines Fellowship Church: Join pro-lifers from central Iowa for the 37 annual Life Chain on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2 - 3:30 p.m. This is a public witness for life in which people hold pro-life signs while praying or praising God. Parking and signs will be available at Des Moines Fellowship Church, 950 – 35th St.  Participants will stand on the south side of University Avenue and 35th Street and on the west side of 31st Street and Kingman Boulevard. Life Chain will take place regardless of the weather conditions.

St. Pius X: Sunday, October 4th, from 2-3:30 PM. People will line up on the sidewalk on Douglas Avenue in front of SPX.

Harlan:  Since 1987, believers have gathered throughout the nation on the first Sunday of October to prayerfully stand for Life. Join us for an hour of silent prayer and peaceful worship for those impacted by abortion in our country. Our local LIFE CHAIN will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1:30-2:30 pm near Sorenson Equipment on the corner of Chatburn and Hwy 59 in Harlan. We will gather in the parking lot at 1:15 pm for prayer, instructions, and to pass out signs. Water, lawn chairs, umbrellas, and strollers are welcomed and encouraged. Affirming signs will be provided.  This is a simple, powerful way of showing our love for those grappling with abortion and demonstrates to our community that this issue continues to be worth our time and prayer. Come and bring your whole family!
