High school girls and young women who have ever wondered about religious life are warmly invited to join us for a special Nun Run on March 27–28. This two-day, chaperoned trip offers a unique opportunity to visit vibrant religious communities, attend Mass, tour convents, meet the sisters, and learn more about discerning God’s call. Together, the group will travel to Kansas and Missouri to visit:

  • Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles
  • Servant Sisters of Mary
  • Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ.

This special trip, food and accommodations are offered at no cost. Participants may bring spending money, but it is not necessary. The group will depart from the St. Albert Catholic School parking lot in Council Bluffs at 7:50 a.m. on Friday, March 27, and return Saturday, March 28, in the evening around 9 p.m. The overnight stay will take place at the Three Trails Camp and Retreat Center. Out of respect for the religious communities we are visiting, we kindly request modest attire: no low necklines, no sleeveless garments, no tight clothing (especially leggings unless at least partially covered), and no shorts or skirts above the knees.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Father Max Carson, assistant director of the Vocations Office at the Diocese of Des Moines, at carsonm@saintalbertschools.org by March 15 to reserve your spot. Come and see what the Lord may have in store for you.
