Introduction to Copyright Law with Todd Van Thomme
All parish staff are invited to a lunch n' learn on July 9th on the topic of copyright law. Our presenter, Todd Van Thomme, will give an overview on what copyright law is and how it relates to parish websites, bulletins, and social media pages.
The meeting will take place in the first floor of the Catholic Pastoral Center with an option to attend virtually. A catered lunch will be served before the program begins.

About the Presenter
Todd Van Thomme is a registered patent attorney and shareholder in Nyemaster Goode’s Intellectual Property department in Des Moines, Iowa. His practice is diverse, but primarily focuses on partnering with both startups and larger clients to identify and collaborate on mechanical, software, chemical, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and food science-related intellectual property needs. Todd also does a great deal of design patent work as well. An Iowa native, Todd spent time in private practice in Michigan and as a secondment in-house counsel for Whirlpool Corporation after completing his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Iowa State and his JD at Drake University. He returned to Iowa to take on his current role at Nyemaster in 2015.
