The 7 Intentions of Mourning
October 8, 2026 2:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Saint Theresa Catholic Church (East Meeting Room of Parish Hall) 1230 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50311
There might never be a time when someone is more vulnerable, feeling lost, and needing support than when a loved one dies. The person is physically gone, but the love remains. How can we be there for them when they need us most? Thousands of grieving people all over the world receive group support by participating in a video series. The Seven Intentions of Mourning gently walks people on a path where healing begins, hope is renewed, and love endures.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, it is presented by Good Mourning Ministry, a Catholic bereavement apostolate founded by John and Sandy O’Shaughnessy. See their story at www.goodmourningministry.net.
Each session features video presentations of John and Sandy on how we can build a Bridge to Healing through Intentional Mourning. These are followed by time for sharing. The Seven Intentions of Mourning
