Bailey Van Vors

Holy Trinity Catholic School announced the appointment of Bailey Van Vors as its new assistant administrator for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, effective July 1. A proud alumna of Dowling Catholic High School, Van Vors holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Briar Cliff University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Creighton University. With over a decade of service in Catholic education, she has demonstrated a commitment to fostering an environment where students thrive intellectually and spiritually.

"Bailey is an innovator, a problem-solver, and a valuable asset to our faculty and staff," said Jane Brown, St. Augustin faculty member. "She is current with the latest instructional strategies and technologies but continues to seek out new ways of doing things for the benefit of her students, transforming ordinary lessons into engaging interactive activities that promote curiosity and generate more interest in the topic."

Her experience spans various roles within education, including classroom teaching, leadership in school improvement initiatives, and directing before-and-after-care programs. In her most recent position as a fifth-grade teacher and math interventionist at St. Augustin Catholic School in Des Moines, she spearheaded an initiative to develop reporting rubrics for math standards to help parents better understand their student's academic performance. Known for her ability to meet kids where they are and accept their differences, Van Vors has consistently helped improve student engagement and academic outcomes. She intends to bring this skill to her role as a school administrator.

"As a product of the Des Moines Catholic school system and Catholic school educator, I am thrilled to embrace the role of Holy Trinity Catholic School assistant principal," shared Van Vors. "I am committed to growing a collaborative and innovative community where relationships and data guide decisions. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to lead alongside dedicated staff, students, and families to nurture a culture of excellence and growth.”
