News: Catholic Schools Week Open House Schedule

January 25, 2019

Shelby County Catholic School

Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated with prayer, open houses and fun school activities Jan. 27 to Feb. 2.

Bishop Richard Pates will celebrate the week with Mass Jan. 29 at Dowling Catholic High School, Jan. 30 with the schools’ personnel at St. Augustin Parish, and Jan. 31 at St. Albert Catholic Schools. The bishop has recently celebrated Mass at each of the diocese’s Catholic schools.

“Our diocesan schools are strong, productive, innovative and committed to supporting the development of students who are Christian disciples,” he wrote in his monthly column in The Catholic Mirror. “The witness of these young people is critical in a highly secular society.”

Family, friends and the general public are invited to see and learn about our Catholic schools during the open houses. Administrators welcome guests to see art projects on display, tour classrooms, ask questions about curricula, and inquire about strategic planning and funding options for new or current students. The following are some planned open houses. To tour a school not listed, please contact the principal.
