The St. Serra Club of Des Moines is honoring 40 sisters in the Diocese of Des Moines with a May Day basket on May 1.

Typically, the Serrans host an annual event for the sisters but last year, because of the pandemic, the tradition changed to May Day gifts.

Each sister is receiving a basket with personal care items, snacks, wine, chocolate, cheese, and a spring flower along with a financial gift.  Donations include items from Ashworth Vision Clinic, Beaverdale Confections, Boesen the Florist, Craig Dental Center, The Cheese Shop, and cookies made by Mike Mahoney.

The Serrans chose to present May Day baskets to the sisters in recognition of their faithful and dedicated service to the Diocese of Des Moines and all that they do to serve their community and the Church.
