In a proclamation on Monday, April 27, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds lifted the restriction on religious and spiritual gatherings so long as churches and other gathering hosts implement reasonable public health measures.

In the Diocese of Des Moines, we are looking forward to safely gathering for worship using scientific and medical standards as a basis for our decision making. We will consult with the other three Iowa dioceses and will have more information on Wednesday.
