As the landscape awakens this spring, many people feel a renewed desire to grow, refocus and begin again. Budding trees and longer days remind us that new life is always possible. That same spirit of renewal is at the heart of the 2026 Christ Our Life Catholic Conference. What begins in the spring as a quiet stirring can grow into a powerful transformation by fall.

Set for Sept. 26-27 at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines, the biennial gathering offers Catholics across the Diocese of Des Moines and beyond a chance to rekindle their faith, deepen their relationship with Christ and be renewed in community.

Christ Our Life has become a cornerstone event for many, drawing thousands in person and reaching countless more through a livestream option. Attendees often describe moments of profound grace through Eucharistic adoration, confession and dynamic Catholic teaching. These encounters often spark lasting spiritual growth.

A gift that inspires faith

In a season filled with celebrations such as Mother’s Day, graduations and Father’s Day, tickets to the Christ Our Life Conference offer a meaningful and lasting gift. Rather than something temporary, a conference pass invites loved ones into an encounter with Christ that can shape their faith for years to come.

The conference also offers something for every age and stage of faith. Throughout the weekend, attendees can take part in Mass, Eucharistic adoration, confession and keynote presentations that invite a deeper encounter with Christ.

Tickets are $30 for adults, and youth age 23 and younger attend free, though registration is still required. Whether given to a parent, graduate or friend, the gift of this experience becomes an invitation to renewal.

A powerful lineup of witnesses

The 2026 conference will feature a dynamic group of speakers – coming from across the U.S. and as far away as Australia, Ethiopia and Scotland – each bringing a unique witness to the Gospel. Returning favorites and new voices alike will challenge, inspire and encourage attendees in their walk with Christ.

Among them is Bishop Joseph Espaillat, known for his energetic ministry with young people. Bishop William Joensen will provide Saturday’s homily as shepherd of the Diocese of Des Moines. Father Robert Spitzer, a Jesuit priest, author and EWTN host, will present on the relationship between science and faith. Sister Medhin Tesfay and Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow will share the mission of Mary’s Meals, which provides daily meals to children in some of the world’s poorest communities.

Chris Stefanick, an author and speaker and founder of Real Life Catholic, will be joined by Crystalina Evert of Women Made New Ministries, who speaks on healing and God’s plan for human dignity. Charbel Raish, founder of Parousia Media, and Gabriel Castillo, host of the “Children of Mary” podcast, will share their personal faith journeys. Music missionary Steve Angrisano will lead prayer and worship throughout the weekend.

Just announced is Father David Michael Moses, a Texas priest whose ministry reaches millions through music and social media. Ordained at age 25, he founded “Concerts for Life,” which have raised more than $1 million to support women in crisis pregnancies.

A dedicated breakout session on Saturday will provide high school and college students with engaging talks in a community designed for them. Father Max Carson will serve as the emcee.

Together, these speakers offer a glimpse of the ways God is at work in the Church today, inviting others to grow closer to Christ.
