We have an exciting opportunity that we would ask you to share with your network.  We are looking for a faith filled dynamic Catholic to lead our Camps and Retreats programming. 

The Director of Camps and Retreats of the St. Thomas More Center is responsible for proclaiming the gospel by implementing plans that reflect a theological understanding of effective ministry to ensure lifelong formation and is responsive to the spiritual needs of youth and young adults primarily within the Diocese of Des Moines.  As a leader within an affiliated nonprofit corporation, the Director of Camps and Retreats has day-to-day operational leadership of Catholic Youth Camp (CYC), a seasonal operation of the Center.  The position also collaborates with other essential partners to facilitate additional retreat experiences throughout the remainder of the year.  The position will maintain a faith-filled, nurturing, safe and fun community that promotes Gospel values and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

We are currently recruiting for an individual who is experienced in facilities management, construction and maintenance of multi-building properties.  This property sits on 20 acres and, in addition to the 9 buildings, includes a pool and adventure courses which makes it a unique and exciting opportunity for someone with the right experience.

The Director of Operations of the St. Thomas More Center is responsible for facilities decisions, process improvement, overall maintenance, safety, and capital improvements.  As a leader within an affiliated nonprofit corporation, the Director of Operations has day-to-day operational responsibility for maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, along with vendor relationships.  The position will support a faith-filled, nurturing, safe and fun community that promotes Gospel values and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

The Diocese of Des Moines is currently seeking an individual who has a background in technology and a heart for service.The Technology Coordinator will work closely with the IT consulting firm used by the diocese to ensure the stable operation of the in-house hardware, software, and network infrastructure connections. Works with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  This position will also support other diocesan organizations, especially with security awareness.

Director of Worship

The Diocese of Des Moines is seeking a strong Catholic for the position of Director of Worship.  We are seeking candidates with high integrity, a collaborative style and possessing a background in both liturgy and liturgical music.

The Director of Worship for the Diocese of Des Moines is a primary resource to the Bishop and the Diocese for the ongoing renewal of the liturgical life and formation of the Church.   The Director of Worship manages and directs diocesan worship activities; provides consultation and resources related to worship; and also develops and administers programs of liturgical formation consistent with diocesan policies, goals and guidelines.

Master's degree (M.A.) in liturgical studies or theology and some years pastoral experience preferred, but recent graduates with experience are welcome to apply.
