The Diocese of Des Moines offers 16 Catholic schools across three regions — the Des Moines Metro, rural communities (Perry, Creston and Harlan) and Council Bluffs. These three regions collaborate to ensure best practices in education, the long-term viability of our schools, and academic excellence for all students. All of our schools provide an educational setting where faith is incorporated into the curriculum and daily routine to provide a foundation for success. In addition to faith-based learning, our schools use a diocesan curriculum that meets or exceeds the mandates set by the state for our schools. We also offer STEM education, fine arts, language immersion and diverse learner support. We challenge all students to aim higher academically, spiritually and personally. As a result, our students consistently demonstrate higher scores on Iowa Assessments when compared to schools across the state.
