Theology on Tap--11/19

Sherwood Forest Event Center, Windsor Heights

Every election cycle has unique characteristics, and this one is no exception.  This time it seems to be distinguished by threats: the threat of the coronavirus pandemic, threats to life and the common good, threats to immigrants and threats to economic health.  At the same time, Catholics are called to carry the values of the Gospel into the political life of our country.  With the approach of the 2020 elections, now is an important time to address the role of Catholics in the political process and legislative principles supported by the Church.  Join us on October 15th and November 19th for a couple evenings of doing so with Tom Chapman, Director of the Iowa Catholic Conference (10/15), and Bishop William Joensen (11/19).

Location will once again at the Sherwood Forest Event Center, at 7400 Hickman Road, in Windsor Heights.  The events will begin at 7:00 PM, so doors will open at 6:45.  After Open Forum Q&A with the speaker, the evening will end at 8:30 PM.

For COVID reasons, please register for each ahead of time (admission is still free).  This will allow us to properly prepare for social distancing during the evening.  Masks are charitably requested and strongly encouraged.

Bring your own food if you'd like, but please no drinks.  The Sherwood Forest Event Center bar will be open and staffed for purchases.
