Jesus: A Companion in Our Suffering Lenten Diocesan Retreat & Mission

ZOOM Platform

Struggles.  Pain.  Illness.  Grief.  We all know suffering.  We hold our own suffering, and often, that of those around us and in the world.  Jesus is our companion who is here for us, hears our cries, understands our pain, and provides a path for healing and peace.

During the season of Lent, we invite you to pause and sit with the suffering of Jesus.

·       How do we connect Jesus' suffering with our own and let that begin to heal us?

·       How do we acknowledge deep in our bones Jesus' humanity and love for us?

Accompanying people deeper in their faith lives is at the heart of Becky’s call, whether it’s walking with someone in spiritual direction or through writing, or on a retreat. This is the work of her life for the last twenty plus years, and she cannot see stopping it anytime soon.  Becky’s message to us in Des Moines, “I am looking forward to accompanying you in your retreat on March 4 & 11”
