Technology Department & Resources
The Technology Department collaborates with staff of the diocese, Catholic Charities, Catholic Tuition Organization, Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa, as well as office staff at parishes and schools. The technology in use at each organization supports all staff in their work serving the people of our diocese.
Technology Support & Training
The Technology Department provides support and training to the staff of these identified offices in various areas of technology. By maintaining all software application licensing, installations and updates as well as database integrity, data security, hardware maintenance, website content, etc., the Technology Department provides technology tools and instruction to the identified offices to assist them in accomplishing their priorities.
ParishSOFT Family Suite & Accounting/Payroll
ParishSOFT is the standardized software tool in use at parishes, schools, and diocesan offices within the Diocese of Des Moines. ParishSOFT is used to maintain constituent demographic information and for parish and school accounting.

Current customers can access ParishSOFT Technical Support at https://support.parishsoft.com/hc/en-us that provides training videos, release notes, status page, and forums.
ParishSOFT's Help Page includes multiple videos demonstrating many of the functions of both the Family Suite web-based program, as well as the Accounting web-based program.
Software Volume Licensing
Parishes and schools interested in adding ParishSOFT tools or volume licensing purchases of other software programs may email the Diocesan Technology Manager.
Technology Policies & Procedures
The Technology Department has implemented policies and procedures to assist diocesan staff in improving efficiencies, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.
